The life magazine cover that I chose was the one with Mailyn Monroe on the front. When I first looked at this picture I thought of how famous and outrageous people thought she was in those days. I thought of how she wore that white dress and wind or some type of breeze or whatever blew up her dress and that was and still is a famous photo taken even today. I also think of the rumor that she was having an affair with John F. Kennedy. She was a beautiful, famous, wild child. What I noticed most about her picture was her eyes and how they are almost shut, like she did it on purpose to look inviting to whomever were to look at the picture. I believe that she was chosen to be on the cover of Life Magazine because she was famous for her movies and her extravagant life style. I think that this image portrays pretty close to how some of our magazine covers look today. Not quite as proactive I would say, but for its time I think that it is a suggestive photo. All in all I think its a great photo, and she is an icon and still will be talked about for years to come.

Hey there, I like the picture you chose. Mailyn Monroe is a classic charactor in media. Untill now can we see many products about her. I think she was famous not only because she is beautiful but also because she has a lot of secrets. Some of them still don't have answers now. Unfortunatly, she was killed by the rumors. But the memory she gave us will last long and influence several generations.

Hi, she was really a famous actress all around the world. She is symbol of sex. I think she was an important role of so call “sex revelation”. Her almost closed smelling eyes make men have disaster to get close to protect her. As a traditional Chinese although I can feel how sexy and beautiful she is, I do not think she was smart and mature enough to be a real model of women. Finally due to mental problem, she committed suicide. This can improve her naïve and fragile soul despite of her amazing appearance.

You know, I've read that Marilyn played dumb, but she really wasn't. She played her "dumb blonde" (as we say in America) act to get acting jobs and make money. I dunno, maybe she was dumb, maybe she wasn't, considering how she ended up.
